Présentation

The role of the Accessibility Team of the BrailleNet association is to set up all necessary actions to increase the number of accessible Web sites, in particular in France. In order to carry out its mission, the accessibility team has been developing an expertise since 1997 on Web accessibility, on the basis of W3C/WAI's international guidelines.
The accessibility team passes its knowledge and its experience to a large audience through sessions of consciousness raising and information and through trainings of Web site designers and webmasters. Moreover, they directly take part in the improvement of Web site accessibility through advice, evaluations and certifications through the AccessiWeb logo. At last, the team manages the AccessiWeb Working Group (GTA) whose mission is:
  • to organise technology awareness and increase expertise for digital accessibility technologies,
  • to increase (especially in France) the number of Web professionnals knowing those technologies.
