Présentation
The role of the Accessibility Team of the BrailleNet association is to
set up all necessary actions to increase the number of accessible Web
sites, in particular in France. In order to carry out its mission, the
accessibility team has been developing an expertise since 1997 on Web
accessibility, on the basis of W3C/WAI's international guidelines.
The accessibility team passes its knowledge and its experience to a large
audience through sessions of consciousness raising and information and
through trainings of Web site designers and webmasters. Moreover, they
directly take part in the improvement of Web site accessibility through
advice, evaluations and certifications through the AccessiWeb logo. At
last, the team manages the AccessiWeb Working Group (GTA) whose mission
is:
- to organise technology awareness and increase expertise for digital
accessibility technologies,
- to increase (especially in France) the number of Web professionnals
knowing those technologies.
The team
