BrailleNet organised the first European e-Accessibility Forum at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in 2007. Since then, around 200 stakeholders from a variety of sectors working on ITC, accessibility, disabilities and public services come together once a year to discuss the latest developments in digital accessibility in relation to a given theme.
Over the course of the day, participants have access to conferences, workshops and demonstrations, and opportunities to network over a sit-down lunch.
Previous conference themes:
- 2007 / Online services – a benefit for all
- 2008 / Accessible e-books: an opportunity for the disabled
- 2009 / Mobile communications helping people with disabilities at work
- 2010 / e-Accessibility of Public Services in Europe
- 2011 / Benefits and costs of e-Accessibility
- 2012 / Putting e-Accessibility at the core of information systems
